Metal Anilox Roller) is a core component for quantitative ink transfer in flexographic printing and coating equipment. It is a metal roller with a surface densely covered with specific-shaped micro-holes (ink application holes), used to precisely control the transfer amount of ink or coating liquid. It is a decisive component for achieving high-precision printing and high-quality coatings.

Working Principlel
The working principle of the Metal Anilox Roller is based on its precise geometric structure on the surface. It achieves precise ink transfer through the following steps:
- Ink storage: The tiny recessed holes (screen dots) engraved on the surface of the roller body serve as "containers" for storing ink.
- Ink Wiping: Use in conjunction with a doctor blade. The blade should be pressed firmly against the roller surface to scrape off excess ink from the screen walls (the protruding parts between the screen cavities) and the openings of the screen cavities, ensuring that the ink is precisely retained only within the screen cavities.
- Ink transfer: When the anilox roller comes into contact with the plate cylinder or the printing substrate, the ink in the mesh cells is evenly released and transferred under pressure.
Therefore, the amount of ink transferred is determined by the volume of the mesh, which is jointly determined by the shape, depth, and line count of the mesh
Structure and Process
- Manufacturing process: Directly engrave (or laser engrave) mesh holes on the metal roller body mechanically, and then electroplate a layer of hard chrome.
- Core advantages: Low cost, strong metallic feel.
