The sleeve features a precision-engineered multi-layer construction to ensure dimensional stability, durability, and print quality:
Inner Layer (Fiber Glass Substrate): Manufactured from high-strength fiber glass filament wound around a mandrel, this layer provides the necessary flexibility for pneumatic mounting and demounting. The fiber glass base ensures a snug fit on the air shaft while maintaining structural integrity under press conditions.
Intermediate Layer (Optional Resin/Composite): Some designs incorporate a compressible intermediate layer to enhance cushioning, improve mounting precision, and absorb minor dynamic vibrations.
Outer Layer (Aluminum Base): A machined aluminum alloy shell is applied over the fiber glass core. This layer offers the rigidity and concentricity required for high-speed rotation and serves as the foundation for the ceramic coating.
Working Layer (Ceramic Coating): The outer surface is thermally sprayed with a premium chromium oxide (Cr₂O₃) ceramic coating, which is subsequently laser-engraved with precise cell structures. The ceramic layer achieves a hardness of up to 1300 HV, offering exceptional wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and consistent ink transfer performance.
