Stainless steel plate roller is a printing or industrial roller mainly made of stainless steel. Its core characteristics are corrosion resistance, high strength, and compared with traditional chrome plated plate rollers, it can eliminate the electroplating process in some processes, making it more environmentally friendly.
Main materials and structure:
*Common materials: 2Cr13 or 304 stainless steel are commonly used, with the former balancing mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, while the latter has better corrosion resistance.
*Roller body form: divided into hollow rollers and solid rollers, as well as with and without shafts. The high-precision roller body used for printing is usually made of seamless steel pipes with uniform wall thickness (such as 18mm wall thickness), and internal boring is carried out to ensure dynamic balance.

Two mainstream manufacturing processes:
*Traditional electroplating process (used for gravure printing): The process is "steel roller copper plating → coating → laser engraving → debonding → chrome plating". Copper layer is used for carving graphics and text, while chromium layer is used to enhance surface hardness and wear resistance.
*New electroless plating process (for laser printing): directly turning, grinding, and polishing stainless steel pipes to mirror finish, and then laser engraving patterns. Eliminating the highly polluting electroplating process, resulting in more efficient production.
Key points of application and maintenance
Stainless steel plate rollers are widely used in plastic packaging gravure printing, laser packaging printing, and lead-acid battery coating. Attention should be paid to timely cleaning the surface ink stains in daily use to avoid residue corrosion of the roller surface.
